Sustainability
Our aim is to create positive impact, one snack at a time – using our influence to help build an ethical, sustainable food system that supports better futures for everyone involved.
We know this is only achievable through determination and collaboration. That’s why we’re on a journey with our teams and business partners to create snacks people love and trust.
We’re working to ensure every action we take is better than the last, benefiting customers, consumers, employees and people throughout our supply chains.
For every crop grown with less water, every packet made with less plastic, every employee empowered to realise their full potential and every artificial flavour swapped for the real deal, we get that bit closer to being the business we want to be, snack by snack.
• Supporters of National Plastics Recycling Scheme to develop Kerbside collections of soft plastics in Australia and local circular economy for plastic waste. For more information please see https://www.afgc.org.au/industry-resources/soft-plastic-recycling
• In 2024 we removed 7% of the plastic from our Nice and Natural Wrappers, that’s 5,000kg less plastic each and every year.
• We’re signatories to the Australian Packaging Covenant where along with others across many industries we share a common agenda and a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our packaging. For more information on our commitments and plans please see: https://apco.org.au/
• We’ve invested locally in a new manufacturing site at Orchard Hills, investing not only in local manufacturing but in new more efficient equipment, driving down waste, driving us to deliver to higher environmental standards. We know that reducing greenhouse gas emissions is key to keeping global warming to a minimum and we are absolutely doing our part, by signing on to SBTi - Science Based Targets Initiative. SBTi take the goals set by the Paris Climate Agreement and distill them into functional goals to help businesses like us reduce our carbon
footprint.
At Snackbrands we are putting measures in place to reduce our operational emissions by 50% and our supply chain emissions by 30%.

• We are committed to reducing packaging waste in the world and we're doing that in a number of ways.
• We are eliminating all unnecessary packaging where we can, this could look like reducing the height or length of packaging (but not the weight of your delicious snacks) where we can without compromising on quality.
• We are also continuously working towards increasing the amount of recycled materials we use in our packaging and support the development of a circular economy, like the work the National Plastics Recycling Scheme are doing right here in Australia.
• In addition to reducing the amount of packaging we are using we have designed all our snacks with recycling in mind.
Plastics are an important part of keeping our food safe and hygienic on their journey from our snack plants to your home.
We continue to look to reduce our plastic and are working hard with our industry partners to support kerb side recycling trials here in Australia.
Sustainability is a journey that no single team or organisation can make on its own. We aim for lasting positive impact in our operations and our supply chains. Through various partnerships we are committed to continuously improve and innovate the way we work in order to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a sustainable future for the next generations.
At Snackbrands, Quality and Food Safety are our top priorities.
We are dedicated to producing high-quality products by adhering to the highest standards in food safety and quality management.
