Marketing Guidelines

At Snack Brands Australia we recognise the important role we can play in helping Australians pursue a healthy active lifestyle, and as such, we market our products in a responsible manner. We recognise the unique status of children and our responsibility to parents and caregivers in helping children understand and develop good eating habits. To this end we comply with all national legislation and abide by a range of core commitments relating to our marketing communications.

Our communications will not undermine the pursuit of a healthy, balanced diet and active lifestyle.

We will not advertise in or sponsor media programs where greater than 50% of the audience is under 12, or where the themes, visuals or language used in those programs are directed primarily at children, unless those products represent healthy diet choices as identified by scientific or Australian Government standards.

We will not show children under 12 years of age consuming our snack products in our brand communications.

Our communications will not encourage excessive consumption of any of our products. We will not conduct promotional offers offering larger than usual, or bonus, serving sizes.

We will not promote our brands to children under 12 in schools and will respect their classrooms as a commercial free zone.

We will not create website content primarily intended for children under 12. We will not promote our products on any website where more than 50% of the audience are under 12.
